Downer EDI Mining yesterday announced that Zinifex Century Mine would commence the transition of mining operations at the site to an owner/operator model. The decision recognises that Century has achieved the capacity necessary to facilitate the transition to an owner/operator model as intended when the alliance was first established in 2004.
